It's not who we think we are that's holding us back: it's who we think are not...!

It’s not who you think you are that holds you back…it’s who you think you’re not…!

You know what sets us apart from the rest of the animal species on earth? It’s our mind, and specifically our ability to think and reason. Our mind elevates us to a new level.

However, as amazing as our mind is – and we know we only use a tiny portion of it’s capacity – it causes us no end of problems.

You see, it causes us to have ideas.

Now, I’m not saying that ideas are wrong, quite the opposite in fact, but there are good ideas and bad ideas, as I’m sure you’re aware.

Let’s talk about good ideas for a minute. Every single man-made object that ever appeared on the earth started out an an idea in someone’s mind, and it would have stayed an idea if they hadn’t followed a particular process, made a decision and converted that idea into a reality.

The stumbling block here, as you might be guessing, is the decision part, and that is due to yet another idea.

This idea springs forth at moments like this, when you have a major decision to make: ‘Can I or can’t I’, and ‘Will I or won’t I’.

Now, your decision is influenced by factors controlled by your subconscious mind – your paradigm – and that is result of all your life’s experiences to date. Too many negative experiences could fill your paradigm with limiting beliefs, and they become your ‘story’, – who you think you are. Or rather, who you think you’re not…

This is a bad idea.

What happens is that, on a subconscious level, we know that if we said ‘YES’ to the project, then we would be stepping outside our comfort zone, and that fills us with FEAR – we don’t think we can cope.

Remember this: ‘The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek’.

We have the idea that we can’t achieve things, that we’re not worthy, that we’re not good enough.

We think about who we’re not, instead of who we are…

It’s not us that’s holding us back – it’s the illusion of who we think we’re not

Look, ideas create things. An idea is at the base of every creation. If you have ideas, you can create things. You can create a positive you, or a negative you.

Ideas are thoughts. Thoughts are energy. Energy is power. What you think you become.

So stop putting yourself down. Big yourself up. Think positively about yourself and create a new you…
